There is no bigger embarrassment for the band than when the single bad tube spoils the whole show, right? To prevent this and also to help our customers retain the value of their investment, we now offer pre-selected tube sets for various ESH amps to guarantee that our tube gear remains reliable and sounding as good as originally intended.

We always recommend that players bring their amps to us for professional re-tubing and re-biasing. However, if you are too far away, too busy or simply unwilling to do so for whatever reason, you can do it by yourself with the help of some basic skills and knowledge. Besides, we strongly recommend that all players have at least one full set of spare (preamp and power) tubes at hand at any one time, especially when on tour, to prevent potential hassle on stage. Also, bear in mind, that in contrary to preamp tubes, power tubes need to be re-biased when replaced to sound properly, even if hand selected and well matched.

All tubes we sell have been burned in for 48 hours, thoroughly tested and sonically selected right in the amp they are intended to go into here in our factory for long-time reliability and sonic performance. The preamp tubes in each set are marked by their position in that particular amp so you do not need to tinker with them, just put them in by their numbers and play on.

Naturally, all tubes we sell can be used in other amps with great results.
